Inspired by the inventor of legendary skateboard tricks like the ollie, kickflip and impossible, the team at Reality Crisis is building the first augmented reality skateboard game. In SKATRIX players take to the streets, navigating a map to explore and collect skatepark elements. Players can skate real-world features with hyper-accurate AR precision and realistic physics, or craft the skatepark of their dreams to pull off the perfect run.

The Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library, dedicated to the legacy of the conservationist president, offers an engaging mobile app called Rangers Wanted. This game uses augmented reality to transform your surroundings into exciting environments. Led by a virtual Teddy Roosevelt, players embark on adventures, help animals, and learn valuable conservation skills, all while having fun and appreciating the wonders of the real world.

The Kinfolk app brings stories from Black icons to life and lets users discover unsung heroes through augmented reality monuments. Kinfolk was built with support from The Mellon Foundation, a philanthropic organization that supports innovative projects in the humanities and arts.

Powered by Niantic Lightship and developed with partner, PRELOADED, Wonderlab AR is a first-of-its-kind experience which extends the Wonderlab gallery beyond the walls of the Science Museum in London. It’s a completely new experience that allows everyone to get hands-on with science.

The official Game of Thrones House of the Dragon app

For the premiere of the HBO Original “House of the Dragon,” Max launched House of the Dragon: DracARys, the official augmented reality app for the series. With the app, fans around the world “hatch” and raise their own virtual dragons at home. Each dragon is unique to its user, and as it grows it will develop its own look and temperament driven by its keeper’s interactions with it.

The Max digital innovation and marketing teams collaborated with The Mill’s team of artists, technologists, and strategists to develop House of the Dragon: DracARys from scratch using the Unity game engine and powered by Niantic’s Lightship technology with immersive sound design by London-based studio, Factory.
